We’re new to the neighborhood and want to introduce ourselves. We are Mattamy Homes and excited to be the new owners of the remaining residential land in Tradition.
As you may know, we’ve assumed the rights and responsibilities of the Master Developer and Founder, including management of a number of HOAs and CDDs. In this role, we are committed to maintaining the existing budgets and assessments into the next fiscal year, as well as determining how Mattamy Homes can use its experience, resources and purchasing power to further enhance the Tradition community.
Our team is focused on ensuring there is a seamless transition between the prior land owner and ourselves, and we’re dedicated to reinvigorating the Tradition community as a whole. With a priority to deliver new homes and recreational opportunities, Mattamy Homes is planning new communities along Village Parkway within Southern Grove. We are also entertaining offers on various commercial parcels to increase the retail, restaurant and commercial offerings available to existing residents.
Mattamy Homes is dedicated to working with you to improve upon our shared experience living and working in Tradition. We value your vision for Tradition and a process to capture your feedback on the future of the community is in development.

Property owners in Tradition are members of this association, along with being members of their individual neighborhood homeowners associations.
What is the difference between the Master Association and the other neighborhood homeowners associations?
The Master Association is responsible for the operations and maintenance of various common areas throughout the Community, including the Dog Park, Butterfly Park and Town Square. Tradition Community Association collects monthly assessments to cover these costs. These assessments also include pass-through charges for basic cable television, DSL internet and alarm monitoring services, as part of bulk service agreement with Home Town Communications.
Neighborhood homeowners associations serve specific subdivisions within the community. The community currently consists of 9 individual neighborhoods, each with its own Association, Board of Directors, set of covenants, management company and dues. Each board determines the priorities for its particular neighborhood.
The services provided by the individual neighborhood associations vary, but many include maintenance of common areas, pool, clubhouse and other facilities, neighborhood social events, and oversight of covenants and architectural guidelines.
